A team of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans are taking on a cycling challenge through the Pyrenees to France, Spain and Andorra. The team will work together to plan, prepare and train for the challenge. Taking on an expedition such as this can have an incredibly positive impact on recovery, whilst introducing participants to a new sport.
Some of the team members have never attempted ultra-cycling before and they will be cycling long distances up high cols for six days. Working together as a team will be a crucial part of this exciting endeavour, ensuring every participant feels confident in taking important steps in their rehabilitation.
Throughout their training in Swansea, the team will be interacting with local Army cadets and police youth teams, learning new skills together and teaching bike maintenance.
